Tudor barn & walled garden for a country celebration

This is a much-loved home, lived in on and off (coincidentally) by both sides of our family since the 1500s. We are also unashamedly passionate about the historic landscape, environment and the countryside around us. Milden Hall is not a hotel, nor is it the National Trust ... but if you want a small country celebration - a christening, a tea party, a family gathering, a golden wedding anniversary, a 60th birthday, a posh barbecue, a humanist ceremony under the copper beech - in a beautiful unspoilt rural location, then Milden Hall might be the right place for you. Most people discover us by word of mouth as we do not knowingly advertise elsewhere.
After hosting occasional weddings for 25 years or so, we are no longer licensed for civil ceremonies or partnerships but you can get married locally in church or a registry office - and have a small reception in the Tudor barn and garden. The church is much more flexible than it used to be for non-residents and we have several lovely churches in the local benefice. Milden church is the smallest but you can still squeeze in 80+ guests and, for the hearty, you can enjoy a country lane walk back here for the reception.
Further afield are the larger, beautiful churches in Brent Eleigh, Monks Eleigh and Chelsworth. Contact the Revd Carol Mansell as the priest in charge - 01449 744484.
