Musicians, choirs, schools

Bring your teachers, students, friends and instruments and use our space

We can provide masses of space to practise and perform together and lots of break-out areas for small groups. Some groups return annually with their tutors for masterclasses and concerts indoors and outside. Some musicians just come to be inspired and write music …

Artweek students practising their dance moves in the Tudor Barn

Artweek - music, dance & art course

Do you have a course you want to run? Do talk to us about what you can host here … Creative Arts Weeks have run wonderful courses that combine art, photography, dance and music in the Easter and Summer holidays since 2014 for a wide age range of children.

Themes have drawn inspiration from artists such as David Hockney and Andy Goldsworthy, and musicians such as David Bowie and Paul Simon. Other themes include Leonardo da Vinci 'Machines' , Silent Movies, and the Blues.

Musicians playing instruments in the Tudor Barn

DIY Singing & music workshops

We’ve had Americana singers, workshops and mixed age choirs visiting Bury St Edmunds cathedral who need somewhere to stay, practise and socialise - and they love the atmosphere and flexibility of the space.

Other musicians with instruments who just want to get together come and play in the lovely barn space - we've had guitarists, drummers, pianists and musicians with ancient instruments and bands who wish to practise or enjoy each other's company.

As long as the whole barn and neighbouring houses are not shaking or awake late into the night, we're happy to consider all enquiries!
