Suffolk hen party venue

We’ve welcomed hens for over 20 years to our two large properties for those who want somewhere rural, beautiful, fun … and a bit different. And we’ve got lots of activity ideas!

Tudor barn or Old Brooder?

Either property is great for a civilised hen party in Suffolk, for those who want somewhere rural and different. Both are for sole use only and whilst some accommodation is communal, each property has several private rooms for those who want to escape the party and have more privacy.

The Tudor barn sleeps 25 - enjoy a giant sleepover in Tudor splendour. Tudor costumes, space for yoga and dancing - and cosying up around the woodburner in winter.

Alternatively, the stylish Old Brooder sleeps 22 very comfortably for those on a smaller budget.

Cook - or get a chef in?

There is plenty of good cooking equipment and we usually unpack a supermarket delivery for you (for free) before you arrive.

We can organise good, wholesome food to be delivered, or suggest good local chefs (and sometimes waiters in the buff). We’ll give you lists of local farm shops and sources of local good food.

Things you should know…

We really have welcomed hundreds of civilised hen party weekends over the last nearly 20 years. But there are a few terms & conditions that are particularly relevant to ensuring that you have a happy time and we don’t cramp your style …

Mixed stag & hens aka ‘stens’ or ‘hags’ - sorry, we don’t host these. However, we are usually fine with a token male if we’re reassured he won’t be wild!

Noise must be kept to a reasonable level to ensure peace for our neighbours and other guests however far away they may seem! Check our t&cs.

Where do I start? What. A.Venue. I hosted my sisters hen do and had to find a venue big enough to accommodate 18. From start to finish Juliet was wonderful and so helpful. She sent across a list of suppliers and suggestions of what to do in the local area. When we arrived at the barn we were absolutely blown away. It is even better in real life. Photos just don’t do it justice and show quite how large and grand the barn is. I would recommend The Tudor barn 100% for anyone thinking of planning a hen do, family gathering or any kind of event. It is truly amazing.” — Charly

We had the most wonderful weekend staying in the Old Brooder. It was the perfect Hen Party location for a countryside getaway. It had so much space for everyone to sleep, for dinner parties & for games - the perfect home away from home with fully equipped kitchen & all the basic amenities you need. It’s perfectly set up with all the activities - we borrowed the Bikes and went on 'pub crawl' along perfectly quiet lanes, enjoyed the farm walks & even had a life drawing class. Juliet was always on hand to help, to give tips on what to do & make sure it was the perfect weekend. Couldn't recommend highly enough!!!” — Emma

What a magical weekend at the Tudor Barn. If you're looking for an alternative venue for a hen do/ large group getaway then look no further. We were a group of 11 adults and two babies, celebrating our friend's engagement. The Tudor barn had absolutely everything we could have needed - and more! A huge thanks to Juliet for having us to stay in your one-of-a-kind venue.” — Sabrina
